Au fost prezenti, de asemenea, ambasadorii Golden Globe 2020 Dylan si Paris Brosnan, presedintele Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Lorenzo Soria, si Dick Clark Productions executive VP, Barry Adelman.
Iar Meryl Streep isi doboara propriul record, cu a 34-a nominalizare la Globurile de Aur, de data aceasta pentru rolul din Big Little Lies. Meryl este în acest moment cea mai nominalizată actriță la celebrele premii.
Ricky Gervais va gazdui cea de-a 77-a ceremonie a Globurilor de Aur, pe 5 ianuarie, live de la Beverly Hilton.
Gala onoreaza performantele in televiziune si in film. Este considerata una dintre cele mai "distractive" de la Hollywood, datorita faptului ca da startul sezonului de premiere, iar alcoolul este nelipsit de la ceremonie.
