Martin Scorsese este un regizor, producator, scenarist, actor si istoric de film american, a carui cariera are o vechime de peste 50 de ani.
Subiectele pe care le-a abordat de-a lungul anilor sunt identitatea sicilian-americana, conceptele romano-catolice de vinovatie si rascumparare, credinta, machismul, crima moderna si conflictul de bande.
