Producatorii, actorii si criticii de specialitate au premiat deja cele mai reusite productii din 2018. A mai ramas insa un grup de cineasti care nu si-a dat verdictul: regizorii.
Astfel, jurnalistii de la IndieWire i-au provocat pe cei mai populari regizori ai momentului sa intocmeasca un top al filmelor lor preferate din 2018 si sa aleaga cea mai buna productie.
Printre cei care au raspuns se numara Pedro Almodovar ("Todo sobre mi madre", "Hable con ella", "Volver"), Guillermo del Toro ("The Shape of Water", "Pan's Labyrinth", "Hellboy"), Edgar Wright ("Baby Driver", "Shaun of the Dead", "The World's End"), Sean Baker ("The Florida Project", "Tangerine", "Starlet"), Josie Rourke ("Mary Queen of Scots"), Karyn Kusama ("Destroyer", "The Invitation", "Girlfight") si Jonah Hill ("Mid90s").
